F.A.Q.
What is the difference between food and environmental allergens?
Food allergens (for example milk, peanut, shrimp) usually cause digestive issues, skin rashes, or swelling. Environmental allergens (for example dust mites, pollen, pet dander) commonly trigger sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose, and asthma-like symptoms.
What should I do after I receive my results?
Our report will clearly show which allergens you react to. We then recommend consulting with a doctor or allergist to interpret the results and create a personalized management plan (avoidance strategies, medication, or further testing if needed).
Do I need to stop my allergy medication before testing?
No. One of the biggest advantages of blood testing is that you can continue taking antihistamines or other allergy medications. Unlike skin prick tests, there is no need to stop your medication.
How does the allergy blood test work?
Our Allergy Profile test is a simple blood draw that measures your immune system’s reaction (IgE antibodies) to 44 common food and environmental allergens. The whole procedure usually take less than 5 minutes.
Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome. However, during peak hours there may be a short wait. Booking an appointment in advanced is recommended for faster service, especially if you need multiple tests.
